Mark Dudley was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1983 and began playing guitar from the age of 11 years old. Immersing himself in various styles of music, Mark gained considerable experience throughout his teenage years playing in various rock, blues and alternative groups.
Throughout his late-teens and early twenties, Mark began immersing himself in jazz music and solo guitar playing and went on to support such artists as Pat McManus, Bruce Mathiske and Clive Carroll. In 2009, Mark gained a First Class Honours degree in Jazz guitar Performance and Composition from the Waterford Institute of Technology, Waterford City.
Mark is currently residing in Dublin and is actively composing and performing in the area. He is also a member of gypsy jazz outfit Locoswing.
Sadhbh O’Sullivan is a vocalist, musician and songwriter hailing from Kildare. To date she has released 2 collections of her own compositions and made numerous television and radio appearances in Ireland, Germany, France, Estonia and New Zealand.
Sadhbh has performed in some of Ireland’s most prestigious venues including The Olympia Theatre and shared stages with the likes of Kila, Gemma Hayes, John Spillane and Mick Flannery. Having worked as a session singer both live and in studio, her voice can also be heard on releases by a variety of Irish artists. She studied contemporary music in Ballyfermot College and Fontys Hogeschool in The Netherlands and holds a First Class Honours MA in Community Music from the University of Limerick.
When she’s not singing with Calliopa, Sadhbh can be found facilitating workshops, directing choirs, working as an Arts in Health practitioner and performing with professional vocal ensemble The Gospel Project. www.sivemusic.com
